Our app helps renters organize and complete everything for a move including transferring utilities, setting up internet and TV services, registering pets and vehicles, and – of course – obtaining renters insurance.

We’re excited to announce a new partnership with Assurant, a leading renters insurance provider. This partnership includes an integration that embeds Assurant’s industry-leading renters insurance product into our moving app, creating a seamless and hassle-free experience that benefits both residents and multifamily companies.

Assurant’s products will be available in the Updater app for residents of properties that require renters insurance. The integration will allow residents to seamlessly purchase and, in certain cases, bundle the premium with their rent payment.

Multifamily leasing and onsite teams will also enjoy the benefits of this partnership. When new residents purchase renters insurance through Assurant within the Updater app, the proof of purchase will automatically sync back to the core property management system. This eliminates the need to handle documentation manually.
