Common questions about the sync with Yardi
What information syncs back and forth with Yardi?
At a high level, our integration with Yardi enables us to intake and read prospect, applicant, and resident data. It also allows us to push data back to that prospect, applicant or resident’s record.
Are there any prerequisites to turning on the Updater & Yardi integration?
Yes, there are three specific prerequisites:
- You must use any of the following Yardi Voyager 7S versions or higher:
- InterfacesPlv241
- InterfacesILSGuestCardPlv23
- InterfacesCommonDataPlv21
Your Yardi account manager can determine if you have the correct Interfaces plugin version and assist you with implementation if needed.
You must contact Yardi Technical Support to load the Updater add-on package into your Voyager database.
You must have System Administrator access to complete the integration.
Where does information from Updater show up in Yardi?
In the vehicles, pets, and docs section of a Resident Record.
Are there integration fees?
No, we cover all integration fees.
What fields does Updater pull from Yardi?
Updater uses the Common Data and ILS Guest Card APIs by Yardi.
Within those APIs, we leverage your list of properties, residents who match specific move-in statuses, and specific data for the resident (including address data). We also push information back to Yardi in the vehicles, pets, and docs sections.
Some of my properties are on Yardi and others are on another software – how do we account for this?
No problem. Check to see if your second software is one that we integrate with. If not, we’ll happily discuss our alternative pathways.
How often does Updater push/pull information from the PMS?
Every two hours.
Does the welcome letter get pushed back to my PMS?
Yes, we push resident Welcome Letters back into Yardi Voyager.
Will Updater update the resident’s information if changed? For example, the lease start date is pushed out, or a resident moves into a different unit than the one they applied for.
Yes!
If a resident cancels, will Updater automatically delete them from Updater?
No, you’ll need to make those changes directly in Yardi.
