Updater in Nasdaq Closing Bell Ceremony in TechDay

Today, Updater visited the Nasdaq MarketSite in Times Square to participate in the Closing Bell Ceremony in honor of NY TechDay’s 2015 celebration. As a leader in the NYC technology community, we were chosen to participate as part of our continuous support of NY TechDay, the massive annual science fair for startups.

In honor of the occasion, Alec Hartman, CEO & Co-Founder of TechDay, rang the bell. Alec was joined by a handful of startups including ourselves, Uber, WeWork, DigitalOcean, Olark and more.

With our colorful t-shirts and bold ambitions, we stood alongside our peers in support of innovation, technology, entrepreneurship and dedication. NY TechDay represents a community of outside-the-box thinkers who work tirelessly to solve our most painful problems. It’s a group of individuals who made the conscious decision to forgo stability (and sleep!) in exchange for excitement, huge growth potential, and the ability to make a real difference.

Further, to be able to stand where so many successful and impactful companies have stood before is an honor. It represents a lifetime of business achievement – we can only hope to be invited to ring it ourselves one day!
