You can get a new license at any revenue office. We hate to say it, but services are not available online, however, you can preregister online to save time
What will I need?
- Your out-of-state license
- Proof of legal presence (birth certificate, passport, naturalization certificate, etc.)
- Two forms of identification
- A verifiable Social Security number
When do I need to complete my driver’s license change of address?
You have 30 days to get an Arkansas license, so hop to the DMV to get your address changed!
Do I need to take a driving test?
If your license is still valid, then no testing is required! If your license has been expired for less than 30 days, you will need to take a written and vision test. If your license has been expired for 31 days or more, you will need to take a written, vision, and driving test.
Is there a fee?
Yes, it will cost $40 to get an Arkansas license.

Where can I register my vehicle?
You must register your vehicle in person at any revenue office or online through Arkansas’ MyDMV.
What will I need?
- Your out-of-state vehicle registration
- Your certificate of title
- Proof of Arkansas insurance
- A completed Vehicle Registration Application form (this form will update your registration and title)
- Bill of sale and odometer disclosure statement (you can write it on the back of the bill of sale)
- Proof from the county assessor that your car has been assessed or will be assessed
- Proof of VIN assessment, if your car has been designated as a salvage
