With Spectrum cable internet, service is available in 41 states. The top speeds are less than those from Windstream in most locations, but the connection is still fast enough for streaming, gaming, and most other tasks.

Comparison of internet services

Kinetic by Windstream starts at speeds of up to 200 megabits per second (Mbps) and you can also choose 400 Mbps or 1000 Mbps plans. Data is unlimited, and parents will appreciate the available browsing protections and controls. Identity theft protection is optional, and there’s no contract required.

Spectrum’s entry-level plan offers download speeds of up to 300 Mbps. You can choose plans that provide speeds up to 500 Mbps or up to 1000 Mbps as well. Spectrum includes free WiFi access to nationwide networks when you’re outside your home, free antivirus software, and a free modem. Depending on your location, prices may vary for both brands.
