Introducing a home for your community’s own app

Living in an apartment home? There’s an app for that! Today, most apartment communities offer their own app to help residents pay rent, submit maintenance requests, reserve amenities, and foster a strong community between residents. 

Because leasing teams typically provide access to their community’s app with residents during the move-in process,  we’re pleased to launch a new feature to support this step in the move-in process. Our new Community App feature allows future residents to easily access and download their community’s app within their Updater move-in workflow. Onsite teams can use the new feature to:

  • Easily add your community app to Updater – link out to an app of your choice to let residents know what they should download and use moving forward. 
  • Require download – Make it required or optional for future residents to download your community’s app and get confirmation when they’ve done so. 
  • Reduce resident confusion -Residents will have one designated area within Updater to access the community’s app. 
  • Clear instructions for residents – Add custom instructions to the community app step, letting residents know what they can do within your community’s app.

Our new workflow allows future residents to easily find and download important apps and gives confirmation to onsite teams that residents received the resources they need.
