Seattle is the Healthy Lifestyle Moving Destination

The Seattle metro area is a top destination for a well-rounded, healthy lifestyle. Seattle was ranked in the top five for the healthiest cities in the nation. The study was based on categories like mental wellness, daily lifestyle, physical activity, health status, and nutrition. The word on this healthy haven is out. Seattle is one of the fastest growing cities in the country, not to mention its rank as the 12th most moved-to destination in 2017 — according to Updater’s annual moving destinations report that ranks the top 15 most moved-to destinations in the U.S.

These aggregated moving trends were determined by analyzing 1,000,0000 anonymous household moves, that took place between Jan. 1 and Oct. 1, 2017.

Although the city has become a year-round destination, Seattle is also known for having the perfect summer weather. Home to the tech giant Amazon, Seattle also boasts one of the hottest jobs markets and was one of the first cities to raise its minimum wage to $15, the highest level in the nation. 

The Seattle metro area has a population of almost 3.8 million, with a median home price of $379,000 and an average household income of just over $78K.
