Bob Cahill joins Updater as President and CFO
We’re pleased to announce an exciting addition to Updater’s leadership team – Bob Cahill has joined our company as our President and CFO.
Bob brings a wealth of experience and expertise from a distinguished career across various industries. A few highlights below:
- Most recently, as CEO and CFO at Globalization Partners, he grew annual recurring revenue (ARR) from $20M to over $300M organically and increased the company’s overall valuation from $70M to $4.2B. He raised $350M in private equity from Vista Credit Partners, Sands Capital, TDR Capital, and Wincove Private Holdings, built a world-class management team, grew the team from 60 to 1,200+ employees across 40 countries, and drove market expansion from exclusively North America to substantial EMEA and APAC-sourced revenue.
- Before joining Globalization Partners, he was the CEO of Fetch Storage, where he led a tech-enabled brand built to disrupt the $44B US self-storage industry and, ultimately, spearheaded a successful merger with Livible, Inc. (now WayForth, Inc.).
- He founded and bootstrapped a mobile/social gambling startup and navigated it to a successful acquisition by a strategic investor.
- He also held CFO, COO, and CEO roles for 10+ years at Cambridge Interactive Development Corporation (CIDC) where he orchestrated revenue growth from $16M to $145M with a stellar 30% average EBITDA margin, facilitated an all-cash exit for the founders, and brought in a new publicly traded ownership group, Gigamedia.
In his new role as President and CFO at Updater, Bob will oversee the Finance Department and partner with me to oversee all internal operations. His unique experience scaling companies and driving growth with durable and high-margin revenue aligns with Updater’s needs.
